Every once in a while, current events and the sales world come together. Those of you who know me well know that I am a big Yankees fan. However, I've never been more torn on an issue than the events surrounding the departure of Joe Torre as a manager. The fan in me saw this from Joe Torre's perspective. The business person in me had a much different perspective. That perspective gnawed at me for a few days.

Finally, on Saturday, I turned to my wife (mid workout) and told her that there is an article that is dying to come out of me relating this occurence with the world of sales. The article flew out of my head and down to my fingers. Ah, the relief when it was done!
